On monday (30th of November 2009) we had a new release of Balder, version 0.8.8.0. Since then I've been busy getting tutorials up on the site for not only the new stuff but also covering usage in general. All the tutorials are available here.
Also, for the release I decided it was time to get a logo for the project, so opened my favourite 3D modelling software and photo/image editor and had a go, and ended up with the following.
Nice graphics, Einar! I’m not a professional designer, but I have some thoughts on this as a logo:
– At first I thought it was two dices because I saw what I thought was dimples/holes indicating the numbers on the dice. But looking closer I’m not sure anymore.
– Is it ice cubes? If so they should look even more organic and not so cubic.
– The day you need to print this on letterheads and coffee cups you might get problem — or even worse; send on fax — you’ll should make sure you can convert you’re graphics to mono colors. OK this last point might not be an issue for you if you’re just using it on the web page… 😉
Anyway, keep up the good work. I started learning Silverlight now and I might see if I can use Balder for something. It looks promising! 🙂

Thanks for the input.
They’re supposed to be IceCubes. Maybe I can work on them a bit and get it much clearer.
I guess a small water stain underneath them could do the trick.
Good luck with Silverlight learning – its a truely fantastic platform to work with. Hope you can get to use Balder. I will be adding more things related to business applications in the future. Haven’t gotten around to it yet.
